Emergency Services | Health & Safety

The Joint Health & Safety Committee (JHSC) and Emergency Response Committee supports occupational health and safety for the Wahta community.

  • Represents Wahta on the Muskoka Emergency Response Committee.
  • Ensure all work undertaken by staff and contractors is safe and environmentally sustainable.
  • Ensure that all CAD staff are provided with and undertake relevant HSE training.
  • Lead the activities of the Joint Health & Safety Committee (JHSC).
  • Identify, evaluate and mitigate those HSE risks that pertain to each department.

Wahta’s Emergency Control Group (ECG)

  • Develops emergency response guidelines and protocols.
  • Lead the development of Wahta’s Emergency Management Plan.
  • Represent Wahta on the Muskoka Emergency Response Committee (MERC)
  • Coordinate emergency management training for staff
